Thanks to A2A for the picture846 viewsA MDF must be installed at a building (i.e. ‘a substantial structure with a roof and walls’). An external device like this is not a valid MDF, despite the marking. Unsealed underground conduits and a non-ventilated cover provide a corrosive environment for the cable connections and a good enough reason for a carrier not connect to it. Magilla55555

Caravan Park MDF910 viewsLocated on the amenities block of a caravan park. The park management want it fixed but Telstra say it's not their problem. The dispute has been running for decades. Who is right? Read this part of the Telecommunications Act. Particularly the part where it specifies that a MDF, to be qualified as a legal Network Boundary Point, must be located in the same building as the user(s).Magilla44444

Do the records!!!833 viewsSomeone really likes records. It's not the way it's usually done but .... fair enough. It does the job. What this fella should be doing is getting everything down ( including ID + mobile number ) on a logbook before allowing access.Magilla33333

Thanks to A2A for the picture987 viewsThe MDF must be fixed to a wall, floor or column. A moveable cabinet such as this doesn’t comply with S009 requirements.Magilla33333

Thanks to Cable and Data Communications for the picture695 viewsThis is a brand new MDF. Whoever installed this must have thought he was doing a neat job and evened used Velcro.

Notice, things that are wrong:-
All 8 wire cables have only one pair terminated.
All 20 pair cables have only 10 pair terminated.
All jelly filled external cables come up the right side of the frame and back down the left side of the frame in the space allocated for jumper wires .
